Within our 3-5 year group, both the ante and pre-school children have their designated keyworker. This allows for continuity of care and education and ensures best practice of monitoring children’s development and learning.
Qualified staff focus on a child centred approach in the planning and delivery of a well balanced curriculum. The children enjoy a variety of stimulating and challenging activities and experiences to nurture their development & understanding. Throughout each session the children benefit from both adult led structured experiences and free play learning opportunities.
Close observation of children also enables staff to recognise individual needs, interests, learning styles and schemas.
The children at Rosemount benefit daily from Outdoor Learning. This extends beyond the scope and space of our lovely enclosed garden area to include the enjoyment of the wider community such as the park, the local forest, Burleigh sands, Loch Leven Community Campus and the local church centre. Incorporated within our Curriculum, our specialist activities each week include Drama, Music, Gym & French. These sessions are led by specialist teachers.
As a Partner Provider Nursery within Perth & Kinross we can offer funded places for each 3 & 4 year old the term after their third birthday. This funding is made to the Council upon registration.Partnership with parents is central to our approach. Parents play an active and essential part in the success of our nursery and to the aims of our service. We hold regular Open afternoons, Parents Evenings and nursery events to share with parents their child’s development and progress.
